Installing the optical-drive
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following images show the optical-drive and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Slide the optical drive into the disk-drive cage until it snaps into place.
- Install the single (M2x3) screw to secure the optical drive to the disk-drive cage.
Next steps
- Install the disk-drive cage.
- Install the 3.5-inch hard-drive.
- Install the 2.5-inch hard-drive.
- Install the front bezel.
- Install the side cover.
