Removing optional I/O module

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the side cover.
  3. Remove the front bezel.
  4. Remove the fan assembly.

About this task

The following images indicate the location of the optional I/O module and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.

NOTE:The removal procedure for the DP/HDMI/VGA optional modules are the same.

Removal of IO module

Steps

  1. Remove the two screws that secure the I/O module to the chassis.
    NOTE:For a VGA module, the screws are attached to the connector.
  2. Disconnect the I/O-module cable from the connector on the system board.
  3. Remove the I/O module from the computer.
