Removing the System Board

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. cover
    2. front bezel
    3. optical drive
    4. drive cage
    5. memory
    6. heat sink assembly
    7. expansion card(s)
    8. power supply
  3. Disconnect all the cables connected to the system board, and move the cables away from the chassis.

  5. Lift the cover upward to a 45–degree angle and remove it from the computer. figure displaying to lift 45 degree from system board.
