Removing the headset port

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the following components:
    1. Stand

    2. Back cover

    3. System board shield

    4. Base cover

    5. I/O bracket

    6. Speakers

    7. I/O board

  3. Remove the single (M3x5) screw that secures the headset port to the display assembly base [1].
  4. Lift the headset port with its cable from the display assembly base [2].headset port
