Removing heat sink duct

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. Side cover
    2. Front bezel
    3. HDD assembly
    4. Hard drive and optical drive module
  3. To remove the heat sink bracket:
    1. Pull both the release tabs simultaneously, to remove the plastic duct that secures the heat sink assembly [1].
    2. Lift the plastic duct away from the heat sink assembly [2].
