Sharing files by using Samba share service
Samba share is used to share the files between systems running Linux and Windows.
- Start the server by using the Linux-Based Diagnostic
Tools (Dell 12G-14G servers) option.
The CentOS desktop is displayed. By default, the Samba services running on the on-boot and /var/data folders are shared.
- Open the terminal emulator.
- Type ifconfig and press Enter.
The network interface configuration is displayed.
- Make note of the IP address of the server.
- Log in to a server running a Windows operating system.
- Click . In the Open box, type the IP address of
the server running Support Live Image, and then press Enter.The Samba shared folder data is displayed.
