Removing the assembly-inner frame
CAUTION:The information in this section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the SIM card.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the battery.
- Remove the 4G WWAN card or 5G WWAN card, as applicable.
- Remove the WLAN card.

Steps
- Remove the antenna cables from the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly.
- Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
- Remove the speaker cables from the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly.
- Remove the twelve screws (M2x3) that secure the assembly-inner frame to the palm-rest assembly.
- Remove the assembly-inner frame off the palm-rest assembly.
