Topics in this article

One of the main challenges of moving to a remote and flexible workforce is changing people’s mind-sets and having the right support mechanism in place to make this a success. These are just some of the themes explored in a case study on Dell’s remote working scheme in Bracknell, UK.

IDS HR Studies, a journal providing analysis of specific HR topics for HR professionals, contacted Dell following our inclusion on the2011 Top Employers for Working Families 2011’ run by the Working Families charity. I gave an in-depth overview on the remote working scheme in Bracknell, looking at the inception of a formal scheme, the pilot programme and right through to its implementation.
