What is a 4G/5G Connected PC?

A Connected PC is a cellular-enabled laptop with built-in 5G or LTE mobile broadband, allowing you to stay online securely wherever you are. Unlike traditional laptops that rely on Wi-Fi, 5G connected laptops provide seamless, always-on connectivity—ideal for professionals who need to work from anywhere.

Mobile Broadband

Mobile broadband allows laptops and tablets to connect to the internet anywhere a mobile signal is available. You can connect to a 3G, 4G, or 5G network through an embedded modem and a physical SIM or eSIM. 

Mobile broadband modems are categorized by technology and performance. 4G LTE is the current mainstream technology and is available in two versions: Cat 9 (standard speeds) and Cat 16 (faster speeds), with Cat 16 offering speeds up to 1 Gbit/s.

5G is the newer mobile broadband standard, offering higher bandwidth and lower latency. 5G modems can connect to either 5G or 4G networks.
