What are the Possibilities With Tech in Education?

Topics in this article

On Saturday, we’re bringing together twenty educators, principals, and school and community leaders all active in social media to discuss how technology can bring possibilities to enable students to achieve more- in and out of the classroom. Dell Education experts including former educators themselves will be participating in the conversations and listening to ideas. We’re all looking forward to discussing topics that may come up and we’re already hearing that some of these may be around the inevitable move to more digital learning environments, social media’s benefits for teaching and learning, access to data to make instructional decisions and see progress, learning and collaborating 24X7 and no matter where you may be located, and students having more influence and control over their own learning.

As you can see this is sure to be a day of lively discussion and thought sharing as we all learn from one another. From Dell, we’re excited to listen to and bring together this stellar group of participants. We look forward to learning and sharing!

Since it’s impossible for us to bring all experts into the room at the Scholastic headquarters in NYC, we’re bringing the discussion to anyone who wants to participate online. You are invited to join the discussion here, chat via the live stream page, and chat with us via Twitter using the #DoMoreEdu. We will try to address as many questions and comments as possible from online into the room.

When: Saturday, October 22 from 9:30 am to 3 pm
Where: Sign up for live stream information here. Use #DoMoreEdu hash tag on Twitter.

More on this program:

Events like this started at Dell as a way to have open and honest conversations with some of our most vocal customers in social media. Discussions have ranged from everything from Dell products to dell.com to customer service and support. The feedback has been so invaluable that we’ve now engaged customers in the U.S., China and Germany and look forward to bringing the program to more countries and areas of our business this year. We cater each one a bit differently such as how this one focused on Education brings people together to talk about the key trends and issues that matter to them and their colleagues.

Please let me know if you have questions. I look forward to “seeing” you via the live stream on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
