KDDI Uses Dell Open Infrastructure for 5G Open vRAN deployment

Dell Technologies Japan Inc. announced that KDDI Corporation uses Dell PowerEdge servers for its 5G Open vRAN commercial deployment in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture.

The provision of 5G services and the rapid growth of communications volume have created the need for modern, open network infrastructure that can be deployed quickly and economically. KDDI has developed and started commercial deployment of 5G Open vRAN that implements an open interface compliant with the O-RAN standard.
