Dell Pair Console Does Not Auto Launch When a Peripheral Is Brought Back into the Detection Range
Summary: This article provides information about the Dell Pair application not auto launching when Dell peripherals (keyboards, mouses, so forth…) are brought back into detection range.
Symptoms
The Dell Pair application not auto launching can happen with the following scenarios:
- After accidentally closing the Dell Pair console without clicking the "Pair" (for peripheral paring) then bringing the peripheral back into the detection range.
- After the Dell Pair console auto dismisses (no user action for par or connect) then the peripheral is brought back into the detection range.
- Bring the peripheral closer to the computers detection range (< 30 cm), the Dell Pair console appears, prompting the User to pair or connect. No User action to connect and pair in the console auto dismisses.

Cause
The MAC address of the peripheral does not change to initiate the console to re-launch.
The User closed the Dell Pair console UI so it does not prompt again unless the peripheral MAC address changes by turn off the device and starting the pairing again or the device goes out of range for the detection time.
Resolution

You can perform one of the following actions for the peripheral devices to pair:
- Turn the peripheral off and on to initiate the pairing again by doing a long press on the pairing button and moving the peripheral closer to the computer to less than 30 cm.
- Take the peripheral out of range (>1 m) for at least 8 seconds and bring back within range. Move or use the peripheral instead of leaving it static.
