Symptoms

Eseguire l'aggiornamento a NetWorker 9.1 per utilizzare vSphere 6.5.

 

Messaggio di errore seguente in NMC:

Unable to connect server, Remote system error, No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it


nsrctld NSR notice Daemon nsrd terminated


C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\logs>nsrrpcinfo -t <Networker_server_name> 390103
nsrrpcinfo: Remote system error - Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted.


nsrjobd severe Unable to query RAP database for initial RDZ value: RPC send operation failed; peer = ::1:[8992], errno = An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

 

Cause

Il processo nsrd continua a non riuscire e a riavviarsi.
NSRDB è danneggiato.

 

Resolution

Procedura:

  1. Seguire la procedura per eseguire il ripristino nsrdbUtilizzando nsrdr.
    Aprire un prompt dei comandi come utente amministratore o root ed eseguire:
    mminfo -B

  2. Se MM non è disponibile, accedere a \nsr\logs\policy\Server Protection\Server backup, cercare il backup di bootstrap più recente e prendere nota delle informazioni evidenziate.
    Esempio:

129292:save: Successfully established Client direct save session for save-set ID '2025432100' (networker.com:bootstrap) with Data Domain volume 'POOLFILESERVER.001'.

  1. All'interno nsr\logs\policy\Server Protection\Server backup, è possibile trovare anche un file con le informazioni su Pool o Volume. Esempio

3/3/2017 11:13:08 AM  2025432100  POOLFILESERVER.001 datadomain datadomain_FILESERVER datadomain:/ddnw/FILESERVER

 

  1. Arrestare tutti i servizi di NetWorker.

    Rinominare la cartella res in <NetWorker Installation path>\nsr

  2. Avviare i servizi NetWorker.

  3. Aprire NMC e riconfigurare il dispositivo in cui è stato salvato il saveset.

  4. Da un prompt dei comandi come utente administrator o root, eseguire il comando:

nsrdr -B {bootstrap_saveset_id} -d {device}

 

  1. Per aprire nsrdr in modalità interattiva. Esempio
    nsrdr -B 2025432100 -d ddnw

  1. Al termine, riavviare tutti i servizi di NetWorker.

 

Aprire NMC se è vuoto o se viene visualizzato un messaggio di errore:

An error occurred while validating user credentials. Verify that NetWorker Authentication Service is running.

 

  1. Interrompi i servizi GST.

  2. Riautorizzare NMC con NWS.

gstauthcfg -ct -h New_authentication_service_hostname -p port_number
nsrauthtrust -H Authentication_service_host -P Authentication_service_port_number
nsraddadmin -H Authentication_service_host -P Authentication_service_port_number
