PowerFlex 4.X Unable to upgrade Appliance due to missing software component IDs

Symptoms

Scenario

Upgrade fails with I/O errors in asmManager logs, and DEBUG errors where the software cannot be located for Component IDs. As seen in the following screen grabs:

Impact Code upgrade never starts.

Cause

On rare occasions, the code downloaded will get corrupted but still be able to get added to the PowerFlex Management Platform (PFMP) using the UI.  

 

Resolution

  • Re-download the current RCM/IC packages.
  • Validate the checksums
  • Upload
  • Retry the PFxM upgrade
