Symptoms
The status of the DOM has changed from 'awake and running' to another status.
The DOM holds the boot information for the node. If the node is rebooted while there is a DOM failure it may not come back online correctly.
A DOM failure has been detected on the ECS.

Cause
There is a failure with the DOM on the reported node.
Resolution
Verify that the issue is still present:
- List the disks using cs_hal to find the device ID of the DOM. It should be the first internal drive listed.
# sudo /opt/emc/sbin/iSMART_64 -d /dev/sda Example output: sudo /opt/emc/sbin/iSMART_64 -d /dev/sda ************************************************************ * Innodisk iSMART V3.9.7 2016/03/10 * ************************************************************ [lib_ismart.c][499]open /dev/sde device fail !! [lib_ismart.c][1389] get_id_table fail !!
- Check the status of the DOM using cs_hal. This is found in the "state" field.
#
cs_hal info /dev/sg0

- If the DOM is failed, Dell support can reimage the node so it boots on the SSD instead of the DOM. Open a service request and reference this KB.
Additional Information
Sometimes, depending on the DOM model; Smart output can look like the below. All zero (0) values and no Health percentage are reported. This is considered as a failed DOM as well.
