Symptoms
A Qualcomm laptop may not stay hibernated or powered off, and may automatically wake up or power on. The issue occurs when it is connected with Dell Universal Dock UD22, and the Wake on AC option is enabled in BIOS.
Affected Platforms:
- Dell 14 DC14255
- Dell Pro 14 Essential PV14255

Cause
This is a Qualcomm platforms design limitation that performs a disconnection while hibernate or shutdown state and forces the UD22 dock to suspend power to laptops. This leads to trigger Wake on AC feature to wake up the laptop.
Resolution
This is working as designed. To workaround the issue, perform one of the following steps:
- Remove the UD22 dock before entering hibernate or shutdown.
- Load default settings in BIOS or disable Wake on AC .
- To disable Wake on AC, enter BIOS and go to System Management. In AC Behavior section, disable Wake on AC.
