INFO: Process instance stopped! process key: nve-configxxxxxxxx ,process instance id: nve-configxxxxxxxx at task: Generating Probe.xml from system settings (3 of 28)
Cause
The probe.xml is generated based off of the settings specified during the OVA deployment. This indicates that there is an issue with a value specified (for example: unable to resolve the Domain Name System (DNS)).
OR
Changes were made to the NVE Virtual Machine (VM) settings prior to initial deployment and completing the OS/NetWorker installation. (for example: adding NICS, disks, so forth)
Resolution
When deploying the NVE, ensure to follow the NetWorker Virtual Edition Deployment Guide, available through https://www.dell.com/support/home/product-support/product/networker/docs.
For example: The following is outlined in the guide concerning DNS/addressing:
Before you deploy the NVE, ensure that the DNS server is configured correctly for the hostname and IP address of the vCenter server and the NVE appliance. Incorrect name resolution results in runtime errors and configuration issues.
The NVE is an appliance, its automatic deployment processes expect that standard practices are followed. Changes to some settings on the VM could cause unexpected results and failures during the deployment. Any changes to the VM should be done after the VM has been deployed and configured as per the NetWorker Virtual Edition Deployment Guide.
