Symptoms

Avamarのバックアップ中に、バックアップの応答が停止し、手動操作が必要であるとお客様がランダムに認識します。
この動作は、ほとんどの場合、大規模なデータベースのバックアップ中に発生し、マルチストリーミングが有効になっている場合です。

次回も同じサーバーのバックアップが正常に実行され、しばらくの間、これらの応答停止の症状が再び発生しない可能性があります。

応答停止中は、仮想バックアップ デバイス インターフェイス(VDI)接続が「vditransfertimeoutsecs」設定に従ってタイムアウトするまで、データ処理が停止します。お客様のケースでは、3時間に設定されており、次の抜粋ではavsql_t3スレッドでタイムアウトが発生しています。

ここでは、SQL VDI関数のGetConfigurationを呼び出した後にavsql_t3スレッドがスタックします。

Cause

Avamar Pluginが使用するMicrosoft SQL VDI API/関数のGetConfiguration()コンポーネントにソフトウェアの不具合があります。
