Das Erstellen eines Cache-Tiers (oder das Hinzufügen einer Festplatte zu einem vorhandenen Cache-Tier) in einem Storage-Pool wie DD6400 erfordert das Attribut „force“ im Befehl „storage add“, um die Cache-Volume-Erstellung abzuschließen.  Ohne das Attribut „force“ im Befehl „storage add“ verbleibt die Cache-Festplatte im Status „Available Disks (v)“ und es wird kein Cache-Tier erstellt, wie unten gezeigt.

Lösung:

Wenn die Cache-Festplatte ohne „force“-Attribut hinzugefügt wurde und der Status „Available Disks (v)“ anzeigt, führen Sie die folgenden Schritte aus:
1. Stellen Sie über SSH mit dem sysadmin-Konto eine Verbindung zum Data Domain-System her.
2. Führen Sie den Befehl aus: filesys expand

Dadurch wird der Cache-Tier erstellt, der nun angezeigt wird, wenn Sie den Befehl storage show all verwenden.
