Symptoms
VM file level restore fails to mount with error "VM Direct engine is unable to restore the virtual machine <vm-name> on vCenter <vCenter-name>.
When you check the Details of the failed job in the Errors tab, we see the below detailed error message.
Symptoms found in the logs: VM File level restore mount logs found in /logs/vproxyd/recycle/vproxyd/<timestamp> shows similar errors as below.

Cause
PowerProtect Data Manager is unable to mount the disks from the backup copy onto the target VM.
This is primarily due to the backup copy containing an unformatted disk with a partition label but has no partition.

Resolution
Perform Instant Access restore of the target VM and copy the necessary files or folders from the instant access VM.
To allow future file-level restores of the same VM, either;
