Symptoms

The Dell Pro Premium Wireless ANC Headset WL7024 user only hears the person speaking on the call. They do not hear any music or sound from the media being shared.

Cause

Downlink AI-NR cancels all ambient noise, including music and TV sounds, allowing only human voices to pass through.

Resolution

This can be resolved by performing one of the following options:

  • The triple-tap touch gesture on the right ear cup during usage to switch the Downlink AI-NR function to off (voice prompt "incoming audio noise cancellation off")
  • For Windows: Install DPeM (1.7.3)
  • For mobile Android, IOS, Tencent: Install Dell Audio Mobile Application (DAMA) (1.0.1)
