Symptoms
The Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) UI may not reflect Dell PowerEdge BIOS setting changes.
This issue occurs when the BIOS settings are modified using the F11 Boot Manager option.
- Boot system.
- Press the F11 key at the POST screen and enter the Boot Manager Main Menu.
- Enter Launch System Setup.
- Make setting changes, for example, Time Zone.
- Save and exit BIOS Setup, and continue booting the system without rebooting.
- Log in to iDRAC UI and check that the relevant setting items may not reflect the latest change. Despite the iDRAC page items, those setting changes have taken effect.
This issue does not occur if the BIOS System Setup is directly accessed by pressing F2 during POST.
The condition does not affect BIOS settings that require a system reboot after saving and exiting the BIOS Setup.
