PowerProtect Cyber Recovery and DDVE

To function on Amazon Web Services (AWS), the Cyber Recovery software requires that PowerProtect DD Virtual Edition (DDVE) is also installed on the AWS VPC. The Cyber Recovery solution deployment on AWS installs DDVE.

DDVE is a software-only protection storage appliance: a virtual deduplication appliance that provides data protection for entry, enterprise, and service-provider environments.

Before you deploy the Cyber Recovery solution on AWS, go to AWS Marketplace: Dell PowerProtect DD Virtual Edition (DDVE) at https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-2x2p43yvgswtm to accept the terms and subscribe to the software.

NOTE: Multiple production PowerProtect DD systems can replicate data to multiple DDVE appliances in the Cyber Recovery vault on AWS.
