The installation of the
Cyber Recovery software requires installation of Docker components or Mirantis Kubernetes Engine.
Docker Enterprise Edition (EE) has been acquired by Mirantis and is now known as Mirantis Kubernetes Engine. For information about Mirantis Kubernetes Engine, see the Mirantis website.
Install the following components:
Either:
Mirantis Kubernetes Engine—For a first time
Cyber Recovery installation or to update the Docker EE installation on an existing
Cyber Recovery deployment
Docker Community Edition (CE)—For all deployments
NOTE:
The
Cyber Recovery software supports Docker CE on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, and CentOS deployments. However, for full support, we recommend that you use Mirantis Kubernetes Engine or keep the current installation of Docker EE on your existing deployment.
NOTE: Ensure that you install the stable versions of Docker.
If you are using a firewall, install Docker after you set up the firewall. At installation, ensure that you enable Docker to restart and to configure firewall settings automatically when the management host reboots.
