Password Change

This section describes how a user with System Administrator role can change their own password, and also of other users.

Prerequisites

This operation requires the System Administrator role in ECS.

About this task

NOTE
  • User with System Administrator role can change their own password.
  • User with System Administrator role can also change passwords of other users (usually in cases where the account of a user gets locked out, users with System Administrator role can reset the account of that user by setting a new password).
  • To change the password, users do not have to provide the old password.

Steps

  1. In the ECS Portal, select Manage > Users > Management Users > Select User > Edit.
    The Edit Management User <user_name> page opens.
  2. Enter the new password, in the Password field, and then enter it again in the Confirm Password .
  3. Click Save.
