Removing display panel

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the SD card.
  3. Remove the base cover.
  4. Remove the battery.
  5. Remove the display assembly.
  6. Remove the display bezel.

Steps

  1. Remove the six (M2.5x2.5) and two (M2x2) screws that secure the display panel and hinges to the display back cover.
  2. Lift the hinges off the display back cover and place the display forward to access the EDP cable at the back.
    NOTE:Do not pull and release the Stretch (SR) Tapes from the display panel. There is no need to separate the brackets from the display panel.
  3. Peel off the adhesive tape from over the EDP connector and lift the latch.
  4. Disconnect the EDP cable connector from the display panel and lift it away from the display back cover.
