Removing the coin cell battery

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
    3. hard drive assemblyor M.2 SSD or PCIe SSD
    4. dock frame
    5. memory
    6. hard drive assembly or M.2 SSD or PCIe SSD
    7. keyboard
    8. WLAN
    9. WWAN
    10. dock frame
    11. heat sink assembly
    12. power connector port
  3. To remove the coin cell battery:
    1. Disconnect the coin cell battery cable from the connector on the system board [1].
    2. Lift the coin cell battery to release it from the adhesive and remove it from the system board [2].
