Removing the speakers

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
    3. memory module
    4. hard drive assembly or M.2 SSD or PCIe SSD
    5. WLAN
    6. WWAN
    7. dock frame
  3. To remove the speaker:
    1. Disconnect the speaker cable [1].
    2. Disconnect the LED board cable [2, 3] from the LED board.
      NOTE This step is only applicable only if the speaker cable is routed under the LED board cable.
    3. Unroute the cables from the retention clips on the computer [2].
    4. Lift the speaker from the computer [4].
