Installing the 2.5-inch hard-disk drive bracket
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the 2.5-inch hard-disk drive bracket and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Align the hard-disk drive to the side of the hard-disk drive bracket.
- Pull the other end of the hard-disk drive bracket to insert the pins on the bracket into the slot on the hard-disk drive.
- Insert the hard-disk drive into the hard-disk drive bracket until it clicks into place.
Next steps
- Install the 2.5-inch primary hard-disk drive or 2.5-inch secondary hard-disk drive.
- Install the side cover.
- Follow the procedure in after working inside your computer.
