Removing the heat sink - dGPU

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the following components:
    1. Stand
    2. Back cover
    3. System board shield
  3. In the reverse order (as indicated on the heat sink), loosen the nine captive screws that secure the heat sink to the system board and display assembly base [1].
  4. Lift the heat sink off the system board and display assembly base [2].
