Removing the system board

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the following components:
   1. Stand
   2. Back cover
   3. Hard drive
   4. Memory
   5. System board shield
   6. Intel Optane
   7. SSD
   8. WLAN card
   9. Heat sink
   10. Processor
   11. Base cover
   12. I/O bracket.
3. Disconnect the following cables from the system board:
   • Power supply unit cable [1]
   • Backlight cable [2]
   • Camera cable [3]
   • System fan cable [4]
   • PSU fan cable [5]
   • Touch cable [6]
   
   • SIO_signal,SIO power,INT_ speaker, and DMIC cables [1]
   • Power button board cable [2]
   • LVDS cable [3]
   
4. Remove the nine screws (M3x5) that secure the system board to the display assembly base [1].
5. Lift the system board off the display assembly base [2].
