Managing Local Users
You can create local users that can access CIFS shares
and NFS exports, or that will become a FluidFS cluster administrator.
You might want to create local users in the following cases:
- You do not have remote users (AD/LDAP/NIS)
- Both CIFS/NFS will be used, but you have a remote user repository (AD/LDAP/NIS) relevant for only one protocol and a small number of users using the other protocol
When prompted to authenticate to access a CIFS share,
local users must use the following format for the user name:
<client_VIP_or_name>\<local_user_name>
