Removing the Video Card

Steps

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery
    2. base cover
    3. keyboard trim
    4. keyboard
    5. optical drive
    6. hard drive
    7. palm rest
    8. video fan
    9. video heat sink
  3. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the video card to the computer.
    2. Remove the video card from the computer.
