Removing the Hinge Cover

Steps

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery
    2. base cover
    3. keyboard trim
    4. keyboard
    5. optical drive
    6. hard drive
    7. palmrest
    8. display assembly
  3. Remove the screws that secure the hinge cover to the computer. Remove the hinge cover from the computer.
