Running the stress tool
- Boot the system by using the Linux-Based Diagnostics
Tools (Dell 12G-14G servers) option.
The Support Live Image desktop is displayed.
- Double-click gnome-terminal icon.
The GNOME terminal window is displayed.
- Open terminal emulator.
- Type sudo stress --cpu <forks>
--hdd <pummels> --timeout <seconds> --verbose, and
press Enter.
For example, sudo stress --cpu 8 --hdd 4 --timeout 30s --verbose.If the stress test is successful, the successful run completed message is displayed.
