Removing the power button

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the: .
    1. base cover
    2. WLAN card
    3. Input output(I/O) board
  3. To remove the power button:
    1. Remove the two M2.5 x 6 screws securing the right display hinge to the system [1].
    2. Lift the hinge [2].
    3. Lift the latch and disconnect the power button cable from the connector in the fingerprint board.

    4. Remove the two M2.0 x 3 screws securing the power button to the system [1].
    5. Lift the button away from the system [2].
