Removing the system fan

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the base cover.
  3. To remove the system fan:
    1. Disconnect the system fan cable from the connector on the system board.
      Shows how to disconnect the fan cable
    2. Remove the two M2.0 x 4 screws that secure the system fan to the system [1].
    3. Lift the system fan away from the system [2].
