Installing the 6-cell battery

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

The figure indicates the location of the battery and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.

Place the battery on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly and align the screw holes on the battery with the screw holes on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Replace the seven screws (M2x4) to secure the battery to the system board and palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Connect the battery cable to the system board.
