Removing the Battery

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the base cover.
  3. Disconnect the battery cable from its connector on the system board. Figure displaying the removal of the battery cable from the system board.
  4. Release the tabs that secure the battery in the battery bay. Figure displaying the removal of the battery from the computer.
