Removing the Coin-Cell Battery

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. base cover

    2. battery

  3. Perform the steps as shown in the illustration:
    1. Disconnect the coin-cell battery cable from its connector on the system board.
    2. Unroute the coin-cell battery cable from the routing channel.
    3. Lift and remove the coin-cell from the computer.Figure displaying the removal of the coin-cell battery from the computer.
