Removing WLAN card
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board.
- To remove the WLAN card:
- Remove the M2.0 x 3.0 screw that secures the metal bracket to the WLAN card [1].
- Lift the metal bracket [2].
- Disconnect the WLAN cables from the connectors on the WLAN card [3].
NOTE There is an adhesive pad on the routing pad of the system board which secure the wireless and WWAN cards. Removing the wireless or WWAN card requires a small amount of additional force to separate the card from the adhesive pads.
- Remove the WLAN card from the system [4].
