Removing the M.2 2230 solid-state drive

The following image indicates the location of the M.2 2230 solid-state drive and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.

NOTE Computers shipped with WWAN card supports only M.2 2230 solid-state drive.

Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the solid-state drive bracket to the system board.
Slide and remove the solid-state drive bracket off the M.2 2230 solid-state drive on the system board.
Slide and remove the solid-state drive shield off the M.2 2230 solid-state drive on the system board.
NOTE Applicable in computers shipped with WWAN card.
Slide and remove the M.2 2230 solid-state drive off the solid-state drive slot on the system board.
