Removing the touchpad
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the battery.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of touchpad and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Open the latch and disconnect the touchpad cable from the touchpad.
- Remove the four (M1.6x2) screws that secure the touchpad bracket to the palm-rest assembly.
- Peel the touchpad cable from the touchpad.
- Slide and lift the touchpad along with the bracket off the palm-rest assembly.
