Removing the 2.5-inch drive cage
Prerequisites
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.
- Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
- Disconnect the power and signal cable from the system board.
- Keep the Phillips #1 screwdriver ready.
Steps
- Disconnect the cables from the system board.
- Remove the screw securing the drive cage to the chassis.
- Slide the drive cage out of the
drive cage slot.
