Dell offers a full set of services to help you buy, use and protect your investment in your plasma TV. Whether it's extending your Limited Warranty* coverage, protecting against accidental damage, or simplifying your new product installation, Dell has the right offering for you.
What's better than a DellTM Plasma TV? Having the peace-of-mind that your Dell Plasma TV is professionally installed in a sleek and reliable way. You can sit back and relax and let others do all the work. Depending on your level of installation, the installation provider manages everything from unpacking to professional mounting and wiring*. You can choose from four different installation options to fit your needs, including wall mounting to speaker mounting with concealed wiring (Wall mounting sold separately). A third-party installation provider will coordinate a convenient time with you to unpack your TV, connect it to your new or existing audio/visual equipment, and place it on an already-assembled stand or mount it to the wall of your choice.
Installation services* are offered by third-party service providers. Installation services* are offered independently of Dell's standard Limited Warranty*, On Site Exchange* and CompleteCareTM Accidental Damage Service* offerings.
How will my Plasma TV be delivered?
One to two days after you place your TV order, a freight carrier will contact you to confirm a delivery time and date within a 4-hour window. During delivery, be sure to let the shipper know the room to which you'd like your TV delivered.
How do I set up the Installation* Service Appointment?
One to two business days after you purchase your Plasma TV, the third party installation provider will contact you with instructions and information to schedule your installation.* After the product and all accessories arrive, simply call the installation provider at 1-800-897-1582 to schedule your appointment. At the time of the scheduling, the installation provider will review the installation activities to be performed, evaluate the suitability of the environment where the TV will be installed, and help ensure that the customer has received all accessories ordered at the time of purchase, such as a wall-mount bracket*, cables, etc. to be installed with the TV.
Should you need to change your appointment, please call the third-party installation provider to reschedule. Customers missing scheduled appointments will be charged a missed appointment fee.
What are the hours of operation for Installation*?
All appointments are scheduled for the technician to arrive within a 2-hour window, Monday through Friday, between 8:00am and 8:00pm, customer local time; Saturdays between 8:00am and 6:00pm; customer local time.
How long will it take to complete the installation*?
Doing a quality installation takes time and customers should be sure to budget for this installation time when scheduling an appointment. Generally speaking, the time required for a Basic Installation is 1.5-2 hours, while Advanced and Premium Installations usually take 2-4 hours. Wall mounting will add 1-2 hours to the Installation time.
