KuppingerCole List Dell’s Quest One Identity Manager as an Overall Leader in Access Governance

Benjamin Franklin once said “Well done is better than well said.” The point being that you can say you’re great as long as you want, but if you actually prove it with action, well then you’ve really got something to be proud of. Why do I bring this up? Well, I’m certain you remember just a few short months ago when we announced that Quest One Identity Manager moved into the Leader’s Quadrant of the 2012 Gartner User Administration and Provisioning Magic Quadrant. Well, we’ve done it again. This time, Quest One Identity Manager along with the Quest One Identity Manager Data Governance Edition has been named an OVERALL LEADER in the 2013 Leadership Compass on Access Governance by KuppingerCole, an Identity and Access Management analyst firm in Germany.

Dell Quest - Overall Leader 2013 Leadership Compass on Access Governance

The evaluation process to create the report looks at areas such as innovation, product features and market reach. As many of you know, Access Governance is the bedrock of any Identity and Access Management project. Solid Access Governance enables the business to determine who has access to what, and ensure that everyone only has the access they need to do their jobs, and nothing more. And it does so without requiring the users to be fluent in the technical gobbledygook. It also takes the stress out of the next audit – which can be the bane of any identity project. Because access governance is so important to achieving and maintaining compliance and ensuring overall IT security, we are particularly proud to be listed as overall leader in this report.

If you’d like to learn more about why our solution is garnering this sort of attention, we’d love the opportunity to talk with you and explain our modular yet integrated approach to IAM. Next month we’ll be at the European Identity & Cloud Conference in Munich Germany, May 14 -17th. Following that, you can look for us in the United States at the Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit, June 10 – 13th in National Harbor Maryland (Washington D.C. area).
