Seven Innovative IT Solutions that Can Transform Healthcare

Transforming a complex industry like healthcare is no easy task, but seven startup companies are taking on the challenge and will go head-to-head showcasing their innovative mobile health technologies to a select panel of judges to see who comes out on top.

Tune in Wednesday, May 14 (9:30 am PT/11:30 CT/12:30 ET) via livestream to follow the action of the Dell Tech Innovation Day Series: Healthcare Pitch Days final. In addition to the final “pitch slam,” the program will include a discussion on the role of emerging technology in healthcare, moderated by Forbes contributor Dan Munro and featuring experts from Daughters of Charity Health System and Medweb.

Dell Healthcare and Life Sciences and the Center for Entrepreneurs, in conjunction with Intel, launched the healthcare-focused Tech Innovation Day Series to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in healthcare. Through a series of pitch events in Austin, New York City and San Francisco in April and early May, finalists, including an online wildcard, competed to earn a spot at the final pitch event in San Francisco where an ultimate winner will be selected.

Here’s a rundown of the finalists:

In addition to publicity and feedback from experts at Dell, Intel and other collaborators throughout the process, the winning company will receive a prize package including the latest Dell tablets, coaching/mentorship and the opportunity to propose a proof-of-concept program.

The challenge has stimulated a broader discussion on mobility innovation and how new mobile technologies have the power to transform the way we do business, particularly within the healthcare industry.

Be sure to tune in on May 14. And good luck to all of the participating companies!
