FAQ

Canon's Enterprise Print-as-a-Service (PaaS) is a subscription based program that provides enterprise organizations with a modern printing infrastructure to address their business printing needs. PaaS subscriptions include a new Canon imageFORCE or imageCLASS X single or multi-function printer, toner, consumable maintenance items (if applicable), device monitoring, and onsite break-fix support. PaaS lifts the burden of managing printer fleets from enterprise organizations, enabling them to focus on their core business while Canon takes care of the print infrastructure.

The Managed Print Services (MPS) program is a solution designed to optimize and manage a business' existing print fleet. Leveraging our consultative engagement process, Canon works with enterprise organizations to assess, optimize, and manage printer fleets (regardless of brand). This program is designed to support customer-owned printers that have not yet reached end of life (i.e. can be supported, provide modern security features/functionality, still have consumables available).

Print as a Service is a subscription based model that supplies new Canon A4 Desktop imageFORCE and imageCLASS X devices, supplies and maintenance. Managed Print Services focuses on optimizing and managing an existing printer fleet.

Both programs provide print subscription plans, but Canon's offering goes a step further by including Managed Print Services. This means we not only provide new devices but, we also help optimize and manage a businesses entire print fleet including existing customerowned printers.

With Print-as-a-Service, the cost of the print infrastructure shifts from a large capital expense to a predictable operating expense. Instead of making a huge upfront investment in purchasing devices, you pay a monthly fee that covers the devices, supplies, device monitoring, and support. This approach frees up capital for other business needs.

Print as a Service offers new printers through a subscription model that spreads the cost over time. This approach turns large upfront capital expenses into a predictable operating cost. This makes it more cost effective than purchasing outright by also bundling in the supplies, maintenance and support.

The PaaS program includes Canon's A4 Desktop imageFORCE and imageCLASS X devices, consisting of both single and multifunction printers. Please refer to the Line Card to see each model and their specifications.
