The following chart breaks down the different storage controller options for Dell Precision 5000/7000 Tower and Rack workstations.

Integrated controller	Intel AHCI 6Gb/s SATA controller with six ports for SATA drives and two ports reserved for optical drives. Software SATA RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 is supported via Intel vROC technology. Two M.2 NVMe SSD drives per CPU are also supported.	Intel AHCI 6Gb/s SATA controller with eight ports for SATA drives and one port reserved for optical drives.
