Tips for Learning Remotely

Learning remotely can have its challenges. Here are a few tips on how to be more efficient.

Identify your learning style. The best way learn best from online college or high school classes may be different than it is in the classroom or library, but it could make you even more productive.

Have a dedicated space for your online classes. Working, learning and studying in a consistent spot can help you stay focused.

Interact with people face-to-face, even if it’s through video conferencing, so you stay feeling connected.

When taking an online class, avoid other internet activities that can drain your bandwidth, such as downloading large files.

Take breaks. It’s important to clear your mind every once-in-a-while.

Shut off when you’re finished. Just because you’re taking online classes and studying from home, that doesn’t mean your school life should intrude on your personal life.

If your home is your classroom, security is of the utmost importance. An unsecure WiFi network leaves you vulnerable to hackers stealing sensitive personal information.
